May – FEATURED Boot Camp Client – Carol
Congratulations Carol!
We are proud to announce Carol as our Featured Boot Camp Client!
Carol has been training with us for over 2 years. It is so fun to watch her become stronger and stronger and more and more fit! We are very fortunate that she invited us to her Canada Day Party last July, where we met several of her good friends. From the party, we picked up a new friend too, Jennifer Silver joined Bootique (thank you!).
Carol is fantastic to have in class. This woman will out push-up many around her, she will entertain you will fun stories and she will push herself harder than most! She’s now joined forces with some Bootique ladies to meet before class and encourage each other to go running. It makes me extra proud to see my Bootique’ers motivate each other!
What would you like people to know about you?
The last 6 years have been life-changing in so many ways. I am originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and in my career of Resort Real Estate Operations I have been fortunate to work & live in some amazing resort areas of North & Central America. After turning down an opportunity in Turks & Caicos, I found myself accepting an opportunity to work on a development in La Jolla. Coming to San Diego was to be life-changing for me. At 45 I met the man I would marry (Bill “Commander” is a retired Navy Fighter Pilot, Best Selling Author and My Hero) and November 29, 2012 I became an American Citizen. Not to worry though, my Canada Day Party will continue! Mark your calendars for July 1st.
Carol’s Experience with Bootique Fitness
Carol talks about how she came to workout with us and what her experience has been like in our San Diego boot camp.
How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness? Have you ever stuck to anything that long before?
February was my 2 year anniversary.
What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness?
I am encouraged that at 52 I am stronger & healthier than I have ever been. At 51, I ran the Big Sur Marathon and it is because of Bootique that I was strong enough to finish. A goal I never thought I would reach – thank you – As I work towards getting the number on the scale to decrease, I am proud of how strong & healthy I am becoming.
What are your reasons for sticking with Bootique Fitness all this time?
Being that my work has (or did have) me on the road for 7-10 months of the year, the active/fitness aspect of my life suffered to have any kind of consistency. Settling in La Jolla has offered me the chance to now focus on a fitness regime that really does work for me. When I first ventured to a Bootique class in La Jolla Shores, I was nervous & uncomfortable but after the first class I knew that this would be good for me – I just had to stick with it. From that first day when I would show up to a class once a week, chat a bit and go home Bootique classes have now become a “permanent appointment” on my calendar. I show up at least 4 days a week (now run a ½ hour before class).
Tell me about your experience with the trainers.
I am extremely grateful to Jaylin and all of the work she has done with her trainers. They (Mollie, Sabrina & Sarah) are passionate & knowledgeable women who genuinely care about you and your goals.
What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?
They offer you a “complete package” of support; from nutrition to goals. With the variety of the classes offered they keep you and your body from ever getting bored & they really make it fun for you to continually challenge yourself.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I am honored to work out with this group of amazing talented women & I treasure the friendships I have made. I encourage all women of any age to take the first step and come to class, to “pat yourself on the back” for taking that step and then having the follow through to show up again & again… Bootique Fitness will be that decision that you will always be proud you made. I know I am.
Thank you Miss Carol! We love training you!
Be sure to congratulate and celebrate Carol when you see her at boot camp! She usually plays at the La Jolla and Mission Bay boot camps.
