February Featured Boot Camp Client – Heather

Congratulations Heather!

We are proud to announce Heather as our Featured Boot Camp Client!

Heather – like any redhead 😉 – is one fantastic fierce, fiery girl! She brings silliness and fun with her to every class – but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t work her bum off! This girl goes hard – and and you can see in when you scroll to the second photo – she respects that ‘Real Women Squat Low!’!

It has been so great training Heather and truly having an opportunity to see her grow both in and outside of class! Last year, she took on new challenges like the Tough Mudder and the 8 Tuff Miles Road Race in the Virgin Islands. She wrote about her crazy tough mudder experience on our blog. Check it out.

Whether it’s 6 am and dark or after she’s danced Zumba for 2 hours straight, you can count on her to greet you with a smile and a friendly ‘Howdy’!

What would you like people to know about you?

I work in Human Resources and Recruiting for a Healthcare company in Kearny Mesa. My wonderful boyfriend and I live in Mission Hills. We have no kids or pets so we have a generous amount of spare time that we spend with friends, fitness, and travel. Last year we got out of the country twice. It was a really good year!

Heather’s Experience with Bootique Fitness

Heather talks about how she came to work out with us and what her experience has been like in our San Diego boot camp.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

I am grateful that I was introduced to Bootique about a year and a half ago.

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness?

Over the last five-ish years I have put on a few pounds here and a few pounds there. Then all of a sudden – I was 30 pounds overweight! So I went looking for s.e.v.e.r.a.l. ways to lose this weight. I went from a gym, to DVDs like P90x, Insanity, and Brazilian Butt Lift, to participating in a contest with a trainer and diet plan, to Barry’s Bootcamp. I would be “good” for a while but eventually lose interest and stop participating. And every time I stopped I would beat myself up. I could never stay dedicated long enough to get the results I was after.

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness?

I have seen my weight, bodyfat, BMI, waist, hips, and thigh measurements all go down. Most importantly my attitude about myself has improved by the bundles!

How do your results make you feel?

I feel so stinking good! I now know that even if I am not (yet) at the exact weight or size I want to be I know that I am headed in the right direction and I am doing good things for my body. Period.

What is the biggest difference in your life since you started Bootique Fitness?

Hands down my overall attitude and outlook. Not only do I feel better about my body but I feel more positive and more patient. Patient with myself and with others. I don’t feel as tightly wound. It’s hard to explain in just a few words but the one word that comes to mind is “EffervescentlyZenLike”. New word. I made it up.

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

They are all people I want to be around all of the time. Always supportive, uplifting, and are great at creating workouts that are challenging, different, and fun.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

The fact that you never have to worry about being bored with your workouts. In the time I have been coming to Bootique I have not once seen the same workout.

Why should other women just like you consider Bootique Fitness as their solution?

The workouts are fresh. The trainers are happy and supportive. And while you are getting your “fit on” you get to be outside enjoying our beautiful parks.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

A great big ‘thank you’ to all of the trainers that I have had the pleasure to train with. You are the best group of ladies and you really know your stuff! Jaylin, you have created an awesome platform for women to have fun while we sweat those pounds off! This is the most consistent I have ever been and therefore the best results I have ever seen, and for that, I THANK YOU!!
