Featured Bootique Client – Sandra

Congratulations Miss February!

We are proud to announce Sandra as our Featured Bootique Client!

Sandra came waltzing into our dance class on Sunday morning and we’ve adored her ever since. What may appear to by shyness at first is actually just her way of taking it all in and waiting for the opportunity to offer a witty comeback – she’s great at those.

What she once described as hesitation, not knowing if she would commit to coming regularly is now complete dedication as she is rocks both the AM boot camps and dance classes now. We love how her new healthy lifestyle has made a positive impact on her whole lifestyle.

She’s also really into the community aspect of Bootique – which we appreciate! She attends most of our community events for more fun and laughs.

What would you like people to know about you?

I’m from upstate NY… I’m a social worker… I’m very close to my parents, who moved to San Diego a year and a half after I did.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of our classes?

Does sleeping count? Does everyone say that?

Tell us an interesting or unusual fact about yourself.

I used to sing opera in college. Am I lying? You’ll never know.

Wanna share a guilty pleasure?

I love chocolate chip cookies (plural) with milk.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

Since May 2018.

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness? How is that different now that you train with Bootique?

Everything is different!! I eat better, sleep better, and generally feel better. Also, I get up at 5:40 *IN THE MORNING* for bootcamp. Like a crazy person.

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness? How do your results make you feel?

I don’t weigh myself, but after a few months people started commenting. Eventually my clothes got too big, and I’m almost down 2 pant sizes (a few more pounds and it might be official). I *think* I’m down about 20 lbs total, but that was 2 months ago. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

Everyone everyone everyone has been amazing. I usually have class with Sabrina and Jaylin since I changed to 6am from 5:30pm. I used to think Ro’s classes were easy, but I think I was fooled by her easygoing personality. They are not easy, but she is very chill.

What is your favorite/least favorite exercise?

Hmm .. I like doing abs because it usually involves lying down. I can’t think of anything I don’t like, but that’s probably because I get to do a modification instead of burpees because of my shoulder.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

The camaraderie! But also the variety of workouts, support from trainers and Bootique’ers, schedule flexibility, ladies only vibe .. there’s a lot to enjoy.

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

Imagine your life after making the change, what’s the worst that could happen? What’s the best that could happen? What do you think will happen if you don’t make a change? Did I mention I’m a social worker?

Is there anything else you would like to add?

thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!!
