Bootique Featured Client – Veece

Congratulations Miss July!

We are proud to announce Veece as our Featured Bootique Client!

Back in our first dance studio, Veece started dancing with us. She has great energy and her face lights up when her favorite songs come on… ok – I think it happens for all the songs. 🙂

She was always jet-setting in and out of town but she always came back to dance! Finally, just over a year ago, I got her to dive all the way in and train with us outdoors as well. She’s overcome a lot of injuries and no matter what, she pushes through. Very impressive! And she’s still flying out of town regularly (mostly to Vegas – haha) but now, she’s committed to staying on track – so we get to see a lot of her!

We’ve very happy to have Veece in our Bootique family!

What would you like people to know about you?

Hi this is Veece. I was born and raised in Tehran, Iran. At the age of fourteen, my parents, older sister, younger brother, and I moved to Northern California. The culture shock was hard for me and my entire family to cope with, but we persevered. After high school, I attended SFSU, receiving my Bachelors of Art in design. Art has always been part of my life, drawing since I can remember. After getting married, I quickly become busy with work and raising my two boys. Unfortunately my art was put on the back burner, as family life took over.

Now that the kids are young men and finishing their college education, I have found time for myself and my art again. I started painting again, and I also found a new art form to express myself, stained glass. In the past five years, I have dedicated most of my time to learning about and building stained glass windows. It started as a hobby, but now I have started my own business. I still love painting and designing, and often get requests from friends and family to help with their home decor, color palette, or fashion choices.

How about sharing one of your guilty pleasure?

Las Vegas is my guilty pleasure, shhhhh. I love Las Vegas and not for reasons that most people enjoy sin city. I do not like to drink or gamble, so why go to Vegas? Because of dancing. Love to attend great dance performances, acrobatics and alike. I also enjoy going to some of the great dance clubs. On most occasions I go early to the club and have the entire dance floor to myself so I can dance freely, and by the time the club is crowded, I am ready to leave. It is a freeing experience, no one knows you, no one judges you, and you can dance any way you like!

What are your hobbies/interests outside of our classes?

Sports is another activity that has been a big part of my life. I played soccer and enjoyed ballet as a young girl. In college I joined a crew team, which I loved, but after a knee injury and surgery, I had to look for another sport outlet. I always loved dance, so the natural choice was aerobics. I continued with my weight training from my crew years on my own. After a shoulder injury, I decided to get a trainer to help me, and avoid any more injuries. I tried several different trainers, mostly men, unfortunately I didn’t feel that they truly understood a female body.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

7 years!!!

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness? How is that different now that you train with Bootique?

I started looking for a new trainer and sport outlet and I was lucky to find Bootique Fitness online. I had tried other zumba classes but none of them used dance in their routine quite like Jaylin. I have been enjoying her great dance / zumba routine for almost seven years. I love all of Jaylin’s selected Zumba songs, especially the high energy song “Bring Em Out”. In the past year I have started enjoying morning bootcamp classes as well, building my strength and endurance.

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

Jaylin and her staff are tough, yet they make working out fun, and you will see results. I look forward to going to class, even though some times my body does not want to go, my mind knows that the results are worth all the effort. There are a great group of ladies who attend classes as well, and there is a friendly family atmosphere. Jaylin encourages and organizes gatherings outside class, which builds on the friendly family aspect of her group.

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

If any one asks me I would have to say that if you want to meet some great ladies, make new friends and have a great fun work out, with quick results, come and enjoy Bootique Fitness.

Thank you Miss Veece! We love training you!
