There are quite a few things I find relaxing and therapeutic… One thing I find particularity therapeutic, which others might really hate doing, is grocery shopping; farmers market strolls are ideal. I don’t love being in huge crowds, so I know the exact days/times I should be making my relaxing grocery store and farmers markets visits. I also love sitting out at a park, coffee shop, or living room couch and picking up a book, and sometimes I’ll throw some wine to add to the therapy; wine and relaxing really go hand in hand I think.

When I need a moment to unwind or even recharge. The method best for me is to eat a snack in silence. The nice thing about this is I can do it pretty much anywhere and it always helps clear my head.

When I need to relax, especially before bed, my favorite thing to do is Legs Up the Wall Pose (Viparita Karani).

I love going to my happy place to relax. Sometimes this is just a place in my mind, but lately – it’s a physical place. My deck is my happy place. It’s so serene to sit outside, staring at the hill, and watch the hawks fly overhead and the morning doves singing ‘who’. This place brings me such peace.
Try all or just some of these strategies to help unwind and relax after a stressful day or week. Enjoy!
