We are proud to announce Tanya as our Featured Boot Camp Client!
Sabrina notes that Tanya is always super happy to be there and works hard at boot camp. Not having her in class is always weird because she rarely misses.
I know the ladies at Mission Bay adore her because she’s so easy to like! I remember our first girl talk. My father happened to be doing some work in my home so he caught a bit of our interaction. Afterwards, he was shocked to hear that we had just met because we gabbed like we’d been friends for years!
What would you like people to know about you?
I have two boys, Henry and Carsten, ages 5 and 3, respectively. Their energy, innocence, and unrelenting positiveness makes me want to be the best parent ever. I also have two pugs, Mac and Ruby. As for my career, I am a freelance writer and editor.
Tanya’s Experience with Bootique Fitness
Tanya talks about how she came to work out with us and what her experience has been like in our San Diego boot camp.
How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?
I have been with Bootique for a year.
What was your life like before Bootique Fitness?
Before Bootique, I was in a horrible rut. I was running regularly, but not doing much in terms of strength training. Bootique has given me a great routine to compliment my running. My runs are longer and faster — I am even considering a 1/2 marathon which I would never have done before joining Bootique.
What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness
When I joined Bootique, I was exhausted, both physically and mentally. I remember the first class thinking to myself, “I will never be able to do such and such exercise.” Now, I can do almost everything at a much higher rate than I ever thought possible.
How do your results make you feel?
My results a year later make me feel confident and strong, again, both physically and mentally. I feel like Bootique kept me focused on attainable goals during a time of uncertainty.
I have shifted my emphasis on exercise and healthy living to make it my lifestyle rather than a goal.
What is the biggest difference in your life since you started Bootique Fitness?
My NEED to get up and exercise at least every other day. My mood and productivity completely plummet when I haven’t worked out in more than a day or two.
Tell me about your experience with the trainers.
Most of my experience is with Sarah and Sabrina. Sarah was there when I first started — she was so encouraging and took the time to teach me the correct form to new exercises, which made a huge difference. Sabrina has also been an excellent instructor — she has so much energy and expects her class to step up. They are both challenging and at 6 am, that’s why I get out bed.
What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?
In addition to the constantly changing routine and the consistent encouragement, I think the camaraderie among the women is unparalleled. I feel like I have made some great friends during this past year.
Why should other women just like you consider Bootique Fitness as their solution?
Bootique offers the full package — rigorous workouts, nutritional advice, and provides a venue to connect with other women trying to achieve their goals. Whether that’s strength, weight loss, or just knowing you can stick to a schedule that makes you feel great.
I am so lucky to have found Bootique Fitness and am very happy with the the progress I have made in a year!
