If you are like most women I know, you want sexy, tone arms! Especially that ‘area that hangs’ when you wave good-bye. In the fitness world, we call that area your triceps. If you really want to work your arms (as well as your shoulder, back and core) and enjoy the great outdoors at the same time, go kayaking in San Diego.

La Jolla Shore’s is a great place to enjoy this fun activity. They offer 45 minute tours which are great for clearing your head and pumping up those triceps. The wonderful thing about kayaking is, no matter what kind of fitness level you are at, it is completely doable. There is nothing tricky to it, just try to avoid tipping but even if you did, that would be a smart way to get a little leg workout in.

Go kayaking in downtown San Diego

For the die-hard city people, you don’t have to leave the downtown area to go kayaking. You can rent a kayak from behind the Sheraton on Harbor Island. Take a loop around San Diego bay and over to Liberty Station.

There are a lot of great places to explore in a kayak in San Diego. With all the beautiful sites you’ll see, you won’t even notice how hard you are working your upper body. Have fun!
