Congratulations Miss December!

We are proud to announce Jessica as our Featured Bootique Client!

We had the good fortune of meeting Jessica when her high school hired us to come lead a Zumba class for their Ladies Leadership Program. Of course, her students love her as much as we do. It’s no wonder that Jessica has been nominated Empress for Homecoming for 2 years in a row. This lady is fantastic!

Her dance moves are incredible. Her energy is contagious. We love sharing our weekends with her!

What would you like our community to know about you?

I am a Colorado girl who fell in love with a California guy so here we reside (for now) with our two kids. I am a high school teacher – dual credentialed in English and Social Science with a supplement of Looney Tune.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of our classes?

I love to be active and outdoors. Nature is my church. I love to hike, snowboard, ride ATVs and desert toys, fish, camp… and anything that fuels my soul.

Tell us an interesting or unusual fact about yourself.

My very favorite thing outside of being in nature is to DANCE. I danced in college as a major at one point and then more reasonably as a minor later on.

How about sharing one of your guilty pleasure?

My guilty pleasure is watching Game of Thrones (we are between seasons) and wishing I was Kahleesi – the Mother of Dragons.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

I think it has been two years! I attend the dance classes on Saturday and Sunday. My kids lives dominate a lot of our time, but I try to make Sat. and Sun. just for me.

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness? How is that different now that you train with Bootique?

“Life lacked real meaning and satisfaction before the dance classes.”

Sure my family, friends and career are nice, but dance is just for me and it makes me feel like the 20 something year old I once was in the dance studio. 🙂

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness? How do your results make you feel?

My cardio is much improved and my overall mental stability is far better. All I can do is concentrate on the music and the moves and all other stress melts away. I believe it has given me the stamina to teach, mother, and friend better than I did before.

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

Mmmm… I have never liked the gym, in fact if it feels like work it isn’t sustainable for me. Dance is a party at my friend Jaylin’s house and she has the best music and sexy dance moves. Plus… her parents are never home so the music is cranked up.

What are your favorite songs to dance to?

Sooooo… I can’t remember song names – but I am smart to let it be Jaylin’s choice because it is always fresh and fun. I could show you some of my favorite choreography and you can name that tune.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

The people are really great. Everyone smiles and is genuinely happy that you walked in. It is like being Norm at Cheers.

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

Bootique Fitness is a lifestyle choice. The fitness and fun are a healthy balance. Jaylin plans events – beyond working out she sets up outings to nurture friendships, give back to the community, etc. And she is incredibly positive so if you aren’t sure you can do it, she is.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I am honored to be selected as Miss December. Thanks for all of your energy! It is contagious.

Thank you Miss Jessica! We love dancing with you!
