June Featured Bootique Client – Eva

Congratulations Miss June!

We are proud to announce Eva as our Featured Bootique Client!

You may recognize Eva from the blog feature we did on her incredible work as a corrective exercise specialist. Eva has helped several of our clients recover from pain in their bodies including myself. I had the pleasure of working with her this past year. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and treatment are fantastic.

We’ve had the joy of dancing with her for the past 3 years. She’s always a delight to have in class – and if you get the pleasure of speaking with her, you will enjoy her beautiful, melodic Hungarian accent.

What would you like our community to know about you?

I grew up in Hungary and I’ve lived in the US for about 12 years. I love my life in San Diego. I feel like this city has everything I love in life. I love the ocean, the beautiful weather and my friends. I do not miss snow:) I’ve had my fair share of that, so I’m happy with just having 2 seasons:) I’m a Pilates instructor and a Corrective exercise specialist. My job is to help people who suffer from chronic pain. I have a Pilates studio where I specialize in chronic pain clients. Of course I work with anybody, but the majority of my clients come to me because they’re looking for relief from their aches and pains. I love my job, it’s so rewarding to help people get their health back, so they can enjoy life again and not have to miss out on things in life because of pain and injuries.

Tell us an interesting or unusual fact about yourself.

My body doesn’t break down alcohol very well. I can’t have more than one drink or I turn into an absolute disaster. Have you seen the movie Blind Date with Kim Basinger? I’m THAT woman.

How about sharing one of your guilty pleasure?

I love french fries. I don’t ever order them, but I’ll eat other people’s fries. As long as they’re not on my plate, they don’t count.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

For about 3 years.

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness? How is that different now that you train with Bootique?

I’ve never been involved with dance before and I really enjoy it! It has brought a very different element into my usual workout routine. Before I started Zumba, I was only doing Pilates, Yoga and walking/hiking. I really like the variety of different movements, the squats, lunges, hip circles and jumps. There’re 7 primal movements in life that every human being needs to be able to perform well in order to thrive in life and not have pain. And Zumba covers 5 out of these 7 primal moves. So keep doing Zumba, it’s great for your body!

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness? How do your results make you feel?

Zumba has helped me become more coordinated and woke up the dancer in me:) Since then I started taking tango lessons as well. Overall, dancing has brought new fun into my life and I don’t ever want to stop.

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

I love Jaylin and Sabrina, they make every Zumba class so much fun! Jaylin has such great energy and it’s really fun to try and keep up with her. It’s like having a workout buddy who’s always a few steps ahead of me. She inspires me to get better. And Sabrina moves so beautifully, it’s really fun to try and copy her:)

What is your favorite/least favorite exercise?

Anything that involves working my legs. It’s a woman thing I guess. We love working out our legs. I can do an endless number of squats and lunges. I will never complain.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

I enjoy the energy that people bring to the class and that everybody is always happy and friendly.

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

It’s never too late to start exercising. Your body was made to move and today is the best day to start!

Thank you Miss Eva! We love dancing with you!
