February Featured Bootique Client – Sydne

Congratulations Miss February!

We are proud to announce Sydne as our Featured Bootique Client!

This girl is a rock star! Just follow her Facebook page and you’ll see how busy she is. She’s constantly travelling (just got back from Australia). When she’s in town, she’s attending event after event – if not for the Junior League (a group of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community), then she’s at the San Diego Civic Theater, game or a concert. To say her calendar is full is an understatement…

However, she makes a dedicated practice of attending Personal Training Group morning classes. Just goes to show that you can manage anything as long as you prioritize. I’m very happy that she chooses to prioritize her health and fitness.

Ro adds: She probably travels just as much as I do, so when I do get to see her it’s always so fun. She loves to pretend she hates all the stuff I make her do, but at the end of class she’s always happy she came. Sydne makes every class fun and brings her A game even if she’s had a long weekend or night.

What would you like our community to know about you?

I’ve moved a lot over my lifetime but I have lived in San Diego the longest of any other place I lived. (12 years). I grew up in New York and Florida. We moved to Los Angeles when I was 16 which was a culture shock coming from Florida. I earned a degree in History but somehow ended up working in IT. I still am not sure how that happened but I love what I do.

What are your hobbies/interests outside of our classes?

I love volunteering so a few years ago I joined The Junior League of San Diego. It provides me the opportunity to give back to our community. I am also an officer for the local chapter of my alumni association.

Tell us an interesting or unusual fact about yourself.

Am I interesting??? I think I am pretty normal.

How about sharing one of your guilty pleasure?

Anything with chocolate 🙂 I do try to control my chocolate habit in moderation.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

I am about to celebrate my 2 year anniversary with the ladies of Boutique.

What was your life like before Bootique Fitness? How is that different now that you train with Bootique?

I used to be an avid runner and could not imagine not running 20+ miles a week. But injuries sidelined me and then I became lazy. I found Bootique online and I thought I would give it a try. After my first class I knew I would sign up.

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness? How do your results make you feel?

My leg muscles are much more tone and I can actually do push ups now.

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

The support I have received from the trainers has been a blessing. They encourage me to push myself further than I thought I could go. They encourage through kindness.

What are your favorite/least favorite exercise?

EASY… burpees! I groan (sometimes I keep it an internal groan) every time especially because they are saved for the end of the workout.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

I love that support I have received from everyone. Some mornings are harder than others and I can always rely on these woman to get me through the workout.

What would you say to someone on the fence about making a change & committing to their goals?

JUST DO IT! What do you have to lose (except a dress size or two)? Even if you think you can’t do it or keep up with the others in the class you should at least try. You may surprise yourself. And it does get easier if you keep it up.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to thank my Boutique family for all the support they have given me especially this past year. It hasn’t been an easy year and many times it was them that got me out there.

Thank you Miss Sydne! We love training with you!
