Congratulations Tricia!

We are proud to announce Tricia as our Featured Boot Camp client. Tricia is known by many in the 7:15 am Hillcrest boot camp as ‘the ringer’. She’s incredible strong, and always moving towards new levels. The second we say ‘Go’, Tricia doesn’t stop until we call ‘Child’s Pose’ (a class-loved phase at all of our locations.) She’s hard-working, determined – and one of the nicest people you will ever meet! She’s a true inspiration to our boot campers.

What would you like people to know about you?

I was born and raised in Southern California and have been living in San Diego for the last six years. I come from a huge, fun, family, and have been married to my husband, Chris, for almost three years. After working for other companies in the wine industry since I graduated from college, last year I started working as the Director of Sales & Marketing for our family business, Record Family Wines.

I love dining out and also really enjoy experimenting with new recipes at home. Wine and food are definitely two of my favorite things! (That’s where Bootique comes in :).

Besides, bootcamp, I enjoy hiking, playing tennis, and shopping, which can definitely be considered a sport when I am with my sister and mom. Chris and I are huge Padre fans and love going to games. We also love to travel (the picture is of us in Florence, Italy after climbing to the top of the Duomo) and are trying to get as much of it in as we can before we have kids!

Tricia’s Experience with Bootique Fitness

Tricia talks about how she came to workout with us and what her experience has been like in our San Diego boot camp.

How long have you been training with Bootique Fitness?

I have been training with Bootique Fitness for 15 months. Definitely the longest I have been able to stick to any kind of fitness routine!

What results have you seen since coming to Bootique Fitness?

I have experienced some weight loss, but the biggest result I have seen is how much stronger I am than when I started. I think that training with Bootique has made a difference in all of my activities that just running couldn’t do. Overall, I have more energy, more confidence, am happier, and experience less stress than I used to!

What are your reasons for sticking with Bootique Fitness all this time?

My main form of exercise before joining Bootique was running. I would sign up for a race and force myself to train so I didn’t die on race day. After running my first (and probably last) marathon in July, 2010, I was officially burned out and needed to find a new way to stay fit. At first, I was not convinced I would stick with a “bootcamp” because I thought I would get bored, but I think it was just a matter of finding the right program. I really like that every day is different. I don’t think I have ever done the same “routine” twice! I also like having so many options of when to work out, and that all of the bootcamps take place outside. All of the trainers and other women are so nice and encouraging, it is not hard to stay motivated anymore!

Tell me about your experience with the trainers.

I am fortunate to train with Jaylin, Ed, and most recently Sarah. All of the trainers are great! They are all so energetic and you can tell they are really passionate about what they do. I feel like I am working with a personal trainer because they are so good about correcting your form and encouraging you the entire time. They do not let you slack off during a workout and really push you to your full potential every time. Whether it’s through Facebook or text, they hold you accountable to get to class and like to celebrate your accomplishments.

What do you enjoy the most about Bootique Fitness?

The thing I like most about Bootique Fitness is that it makes me really enjoy working out. I look forward to each workout because I know it is going to be challenging but it makes me feel great at the end! I never have to force myself to get motivated anymore to get a workout in because I love bootcamp!

I am so glad that I found Bootique Fitness and would recommend it to anyone looking to start or change their fitness routine!
