Too Busy To Exercise? Not anymore

Tips to fit in fitness for a jam packed schedule from AM to PM!

If you are like the rest of us, you have limited time in your day. Work, kids, social life, travel, appointments…the list goes on and on. In the midst of all this, how are we supposed to fit in exercise? We get up really early and workout before work, or stay up late after the kids are asleep to run on the treadmill, but there other exercises and times of day where we can fit in it and even multitask while being active! Here are some tips to start you off!

Get up with some Push ups

Start every morning with a round of push-ups, sit-ups, and or squats. Bootique’s tabata videos will get you goind with just 4 minutes of work. Visit here to see our Tabata videos and follow along every morning. 20 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds? We can all fit that in!

Food for Thought

Need to hit up the grocery store? Park as far away as you can and power walk your way to and through the store. Just picking up a few healthy things? Grab a hand-held basket instead of a full one. The heavier it gets the better to strengthen your arms, my dear!

Lunchtime = Moving Time

Set an alarm on your phone, a reminder on your email, or ask a co-worker to help remind you to take a walk and move on your lunch break. Even if it’s 20 minutes, or a walk to lunch and back, you’re pumping your blood and burning some calories! Can’t make it out of the office? No excuses! Do a quick tabata video on your own or with a coworker right from your computer! Check out the variety of Bootique’s tabata videos here. Chairs and desks can assist in any body weight workout – “work” it!

We are family

Speaking of getting others involved, spend quality family time away from the couch. Start taking the kids on walks to the park after dinner. Play an active game of hide and seek, or challenge the family to a dance off with some fun music. In the mood to watch tv or a movie to relax? Get on your feet during the commercial breaks or set a reminder every 20 minutes or so do so some squats, push-ups, or any quick movement to get you going. Not only will this get you fit, but the whole family will benefit!

Even the busiest of women find a way to move through the day and add some exercise in. Stick to these tips and you’ll notice physical and mental changes all day, and night, long!
