Dirty Girl Mud Run San Diego

Dirty Girl is a 5K mud run for women of all ages and athletic abilities that’s coming to San Diego on February 9th. Don’t worry, it’s not a “race” in the traditional sense. It is an untimed obstacle course designed to push you slightly out of your comfort zone, but only as far as you are comfortable going.

The really fun part is to form teams and help your fellow Dirty Girls get through to the finish. Robbin Adams has formed a team called the Bootique Babes! You’re invited to join – see their Facebook event here.

At a Dirty Girl Mud Run you’ll find excitement, laughter, and camaraderie – as well as lots of music and even some adult beverages. It’s a day you’ll never forget.

Dive into the dirt

Run, walk, climb, crawl – you will experience it all. With obstacle names like H2OMG and PMS (Pretty Muddy Stuff), you can expect to laugh until your cheeks hurt. But don’t worry, if you get to an obstacle that’s more than a challenge for you – hey, take one of the detours. Also expect safety throughout. Expect the competition to go on rain or shine. Expect not to be timed. Expect some crazy team uniforms. Expect to leave with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

Dirty Girl Mud Run Gives to the National Breast Cancer Foundation

Dirty Girl has a mission to inspire women to step outside of their comfort zone and to create meaningful partnerships our participants benefit from. They partner with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to offer free cancer survivors free registration at each event. Having the dirtiest time of your life isn’t all you’ll be doing out there. A portion of all registration fees is donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

What about Dirty Girls who aren’t in the best of shape?

Not to worry, this event is non-competitive and will not be timed, so there is no need to hustle to get through the course. Still, you will want to train for the event so that you can perform your best and have a better experience.

To train for Dirty Girl Mud Run, we recommend doing workouts that involve some cardio training as well as strength training to help you get through the obstacles. This is the type of training we do at boot camp. Strength moves like squats, push ups and planks as well as cardio moves like running, skipping and jumping.
