zz Injury Rehabilitation and Prevention
• Reduce and eliminate low back pain
• Strengthen legs without knee pain
• Recover from an injury quicker
• Correct imbalances caused by sitting in a chair all day
Maintaining an active, balanced physical program can do a lot to prevent an injury from occurring.
It is normal in our society to spend long hours sitting in a chair. This leads to several muscle imbalances that are likely to cause discomfort and make you more vulnerable to injuries. I can design a training program for you that will improve your postural alignment to balance the strength in these muscles and reduce the common discomforts: low back pain, tight hamstrings, and knee pain. The focus of this training is often dedicated to corrective strategies that address functional movements, kinetic imbalances, and postural misalignments.
If you are already experiencing pain, you can still exercise. The important thing to consider is not to add to your pain which does require some knowledge and planning. You will learn how to reduce knee pain by strengthening your legs without hurting your knees. You will learn how to strengthen your core and stretch your muscles to reduce the low back pain that keeps you up at night and makes daily activities uncomfortable.
If you are recovering from an injury, working out will not only keep you in better shape but it will help you to recover faster. I will consult with your doctor to ensure proper programing, then you can begin strengthening your non-injured body parts. The important thing is to start moving as soon as possible. You can make a significant difference in quality of your recovery by taking an active role in the rehab process.
Use the power of your mind to overcome any physical set back. I know it is harder to motivate yourself when you are injured, in pain, and/or feeling weak. This is the most important time for you to take care of yourself and prevent future injuries. I will help you focus your thoughts on your strengths to better heal your weaknesses.
